The Architecture of a Digital Health Super App
Kyivstar is aggressively moving to consolidate its recent high-value acquisitions into a unified digital ecosystem. Following the $160 million purchase of Tabletki.ua and the previous acquisition of the Uklon mobility platform for $155 million, the telecom giant is now focusing on technical synergy. According to CEO Oleksandr Komarov, the objective is to bridge the gap between patient consultations and pharmaceutical procurement. By integrating the Helsi medical information system with Tabletki, the company intends to allow users to transition from a doctor's appointment directly to booking prescribed medicines within a single interface.
Leveraging Mobility for Pharmaceutical Logistics
A critical component of this new vertical is the involvement of Uklon, which will serve as the fulfillment arm of the healthcare journey. Komarov detailed a vision where Uklon’s delivery infrastructure is automatically triggered once a patient completes a pharmaceutical booking through the integrated platform. This "modern mobility" strategy seeks to utilize Uklon's existing logistics network, which handled 1.3 million deliveries in the final quarter of 2025 alone, to provide rapid home delivery of medical supplies. This integration is expected to be presented as a formal strategy to the Kyivstar Group supervisory board by the fourth quarter of 2026.
Performance Metrics of the Health and Delivery Portfolios
The financial justification for this integration is rooted in the explosive growth of Kyivstar’s non-telecom assets. The Helsi platform recorded a 67.8 percent revenue increase in the fourth quarter of 2025, driven by a nearly four-fold rise in paid subscribers. Simultaneously, Uklon generated 1.42 billion Ukrainian Hryvnia in revenue in the final quarter of the year, maintaining its position as the market leader ahead of international competitors like Bolt and Uber. According to the 2025 financial report, the high engagement levels across these platforms—including 3.8 million active Uklon users—provide a fertile user base for cross-platform services.
