The Miracle Finish
The fight took a dramatic turn early in the opening round when Ulberg stepped back and landed awkwardly, visibly blowing out his knee. Clearly compromised and unable to move fluently, the Kiwi was forced to hobble around the Octagon.
In a surprising tactical choice, Procházka opted not to target the injured leg, instead engaging in a high-stakes "firefight." This decision proved fatal when Ulberg, swinging for the fences in desperation, connected with a picture-perfect check left hook flush to the jaw.
Result: Round 1 Knockout.
Impact: The lights were instantly shut off for Procházka; the follow-up strikes were purely academic as the initial hook had already done the damage.
Historical Significance: Ulberg is the first fighter from Aotearoa to ever hold the UFC light-heavyweight title.
