Destruction of Secret Nuclear Site

During a press conference on Tuesday, IDF Chief Spokesman Brig. Gen. Efi Defrin announced the destruction of a covert nuclear weapons facility located on the northeast outskirts of Tehran. Identified as Min Zadai, the site was specifically utilized for weapons group development, a critical stage in the process of turning enriched uranium into a deliverable weapon. Defrin noted that Israeli intelligence successfully tracked several nuclear scientists who had been traveling to the location clandestinely, allowing the military to confirm the dangerous nature of the activities occurring there.

Neutralization of Missile Capabilities

The Israeli military also provided an update on the progress of Operation Roaring Lion, which commenced on Saturday morning. Since the start of the offensive, Israeli strikes have rendered approximately 300 Iranian ballistic missile launchers unusable. This systematic degradation of Tehran’s long range strike capabilities is a primary objective of the current campaign, aimed at reducing the immediate threat to Israeli territory and regional stability.

Monitoring Weapons Group Development

While international attention often centers on uranium enrichment, the IDF emphasized that the development of weapons components is an equally vital part of the nuclear cycle. The revelation of the Min Zadai site marks the first public confirmation that Iran had made significant progress in rehabilitating its weapons development program following a major Israeli bombing campaign in June 2025. Military officials stated that the intelligence gathered by following Iranian scientists was instrumental in mapping the renewed progress of the weapons group.
