Healthcare System Manages Surge in War Related Admissions

The Israeli Health Ministry has confirmed that more than 7,400 civilians and military personnel have required hospital treatment since the onset of the conflict in late February. According to official data, the medical infrastructure has handled a significant volume of cases across the country, ranging from direct trauma caused by munitions to secondary injuries. As of early April, the number of active hospitalizations has decreased to 118 individuals, representing a gradual stabilization of the domestic medical situation following the peak intensity of the initial Iranian and regional strikes.

Critical and Serious Cases Remain Under Intensive Care

Despite the high rate of patient discharges, a significant group of casualties remains in guarded condition. The Health Ministry’s latest bulletin specifies that two individuals are currently in critical condition, while another 13 are listed as being in serious condition. These patients are receiving specialized intensive care for life threatening injuries sustained during the height of the bombardment. Additionally, 25 patients are being treated for moderate injuries, and 74 are classified as being in good condition as they continue their recovery in various medical wards across Israel.

Military and Civilian Casualties Combined in Official Totals

The ministry has adopted a policy of reporting combined casualty figures that include both members of the Israel Defense Forces and the civilian population. This comprehensive approach reflects the widespread nature of the conflict, which has targeted both military installations and major urban centers like Tel Aviv. While the statistics provide a clear picture of the physical toll on the population, the ministry has not yet provided a specific breakdown of how many soldiers were injured in active combat compared to civilians affected by long range missile barrages from Iran and its regional affiliates.
