Nationwide Crackdown on Alleged Intelligence Networks

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has launched one of its most extensive internal security operations since the onset of the current regional conflict, detaining 127 people across multiple provinces. Iranian officials claim these individuals were part of organized networks affiliated with Western and Israeli intelligence agencies. The central allegation is that the detainees were "preparing the groundwork" for a direct military attack by the enemy, signaling a heightened state of paranoia within Tehran’s security apparatus regarding domestic collaboration with foreign powers.

Strategic Sabotage Plans in East Azerbaijan

In the province of East Azerbaijan, the IRGC reported the arrest of seven suspects who were allegedly in the advanced stages of planning sabotage activities. According to reports from the semi-official Tasnim news agency, this group was actively preparing weapons and identifying sensitive infrastructure sites. Most critically, authorities claim the suspects were sending precise geographic coordinates of these locations to contacts abroad, effectively providing a target list for potential aerial or maritime strikes against Iranian interests.

Mass Arrests in Mazandaran and Kerman

The scope of the sweep extended deep into the Iranian heartland, with 69 individuals taken into custody in Mazandaran province. Simultaneously, in Kerman province, security forces identified and dismantled three distinct "espionage teams" comprising 51 people. These mass arrests suggest that the IRGC is targeting what it perceives to be a widespread and decentralized intelligence network capable of facilitating asymmetric warfare or providing ground-level reconnaissance for the United States and its allies.
