Targeted Theft at Huntsville Liquor Store

On February 17, 2026, an unidentified male suspect targeted "The Windmill" liquor store located along the parkway in Huntsville. Investigators state that the man gained entry by forcing open the establishment's back door. Once inside the premises, he reportedly seized three bottles of liquor. Before fleeing the scene, the suspect entered the store’s office area and caused additional property damage by knocking over all the computer monitors. Huntsville police are currently working to identify the individual responsible for the break in and subsequent vandalism.

High Value Retail Theft in Madison

On the same day as the liquor store heist, a separate incident occurred at the Walmart on Madison Boulevard. Madison police report that a male suspect removed 26 boxes of NFL trading cards from the store shelves. The man allegedly concealed the merchandise before exiting the building without paying. Authorities have valued the stolen cards at approximately $1,200 total. Surveillance information suggests the suspect may be operating a dark Chevrolet SUV, which investigators believe could be a Trailblazer model.

Active Warrants for Financial Crimes and Child Exploitation

In addition to the recent thefts, the Huntsville Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information on several other individuals wanted for various felony charges. Taylor Cox is currently sought by police on charges related to the possession of child pornography. Another suspect, Renita Norris, is wanted for theft by deception. Police allege that Norris stole a check, altered it, and successfully defrauded the victim of $4,000.
