A Debut Years in the Making

Mo'omo'oga Palu’s selection marks a significant milestone in her career. After four seasons with the South Island’s Matatū and a recent signing with Hurricanes Poua for the 2026 Aupiki season, Palu finally earns her black jersey.

Head coach Whitney Hansen praised Palu’s resilience, stating: "Her achievement hasn’t come quickly; she’s worked hard, and her rugby journey is a genuine reflection of the women’s rugby pathway at work in New Zealand."

Key Squad Changes

Selectors have made four changes to the match-day 23 following last weekend’s come-from-behind victory over Canada in Kansas City:

Starting Wings: Justine McGregor earns a starting spot on the wing alongside veteran Ayesha Leti-I’iga.
