On Friday afternoon, Hartselle police officers were dispatched to a local commercial establishment following reports of an individual trespassing on the property. Upon arrival, law enforcement spoke with the store manager, who formally requested that the suspect be removed from the premises. The officers proceeded to identify the individual as Javaris Mondrae Stover and began the standard procedure of escorting him off the private property. However, the routine removal quickly escalated when Stover allegedly turned on the responding officers.

Escalation and the Use of Non Lethal Force

According to official statements from the Hartselle Police Department, the situation turned violent once the group reached the exterior of the business. Authorities report that Stover suddenly charged at one of the officers, initiating a physical altercation.
