Investigation Scope and Potential Foul Play

The search for Walker has been extensive, covering the Waikato, Tasman, and Canterbury districts. Despite these efforts, authorities have not been able to locate her or establish any digital footprint. Due to the duration of her disappearance and her status as a "vulnerable person," police have confirmed they are investigating the possibility of foul play.

Transient Lifestyle: Walker was known to travel frequently and had associates throughout New Zealand, making the search a nationwide effort.

Persons of Interest: While Detective Senior Sergeant Carolan declined to name specific individuals, she confirmed that police are currently "talking to a number of people" and following every lead provided by the community.

A Family in Limbo

Rowena’s mother is currently caring for several of Rowena’s children, who are reportedly struggling with the absence of their mother. "It’s really important that those kids have an answer as to where mum has gone," Carolan said. The police emphasized that even the smallest piece of information—something a witness might deem insignificant—could be the "piece in the puzzle" needed to resolve the case.
