Pattern of Suspicious Behavior Near Retail Hub

Public safety concerns escalated in Grand Chute this month following reports of a man targeting young women in the commercial district surrounding the Fox River Mall. The investigation began when a 17-year-old girl reported being followed closely by a stranger while leaving a store in the 4300 block of West Wisconsin Avenue. According to the victim, the man attempted to touch her before she successfully pulled away and he fled the scene.

Subsequent police inquiries revealed that the behavior was part of a broader pattern. Officers learned the same individual had been approaching various women and girls in the area to solicit phone numbers, though many of these interactions had not been formally reported to law enforcement.

Proactive Employee Leads to Apprehension

The break in the case came on Sunday, March 8, when a vigilant employee at a nearby store identified the suspect and immediately contacted the authorities. Grand Chute officers arrived at the scene and arrested the 27-year-old man, identified as a resident of Siren, Wisconsin.

Following the arrest, police confirmed that the individual was on active probation for a prior conviction of child enticement. The proximity of his current alleged actions to his criminal history has led officials to recommend charges of disorderly conduct alongside a formal probation violation.
