New Talent Joins the APAC North Roster

Shougo "Ein" Kumahashi joins the organization as a free agent following a successful stint with the Japanese team SYRALE. During his time there, he helped the squad achieve a third-place finish in the ALGS 2025 Split 2 Pro League for the APAC North region and a 29th-place finish at the ALGS Year 5 Championship. His experience in high-pressure regional and international play is expected to bolster Fnatic's tactical depth.

Choi "ILY" Jun-hyeok is considered the most notable addition to the new lineup. Formerly a member of ENTER FORCE.36, ILY is coming off a massive performance where his previous team placed third overall in the ALGS Year 5 Championship. His track record also includes a 15th-place finish in the Year 4 Championship, marking him as one of the most consistent and highly-regarded players in the region.

Strategic Roster Overhaul and Legacy

The arrival of ILY and Ein comes in the wake of significant departures, as Fnatic recently parted ways with Manato "Lible_Ace" Asada and the veteran Yuga "YukaF" Horie. YukaF has notably transferred to ZETA DIVISION, a move that coincides with that organization’s anticipated return to the Apex Legends ecosystem. Despite losing long-standing members, Fnatic emphasized on social media that their dedication to the Japanese fan base and competitive foundation remains unwavering.

Fnatic’s history in the scene dates back to 2019, though its most successful era began with its return to the APAC region in 2022. Over the last several years, the organization has consistently qualified for major championships, most recently placing 10th out of 40 international teams at the Year 5 Championship in Sapporo, Japan. With this new roster, Fnatic aims to build upon that top-ten foundation and reclaim its status as a top-tier contender in Year 6.
