Advancing Digital Financial Inclusion for the Next Generation
Flutterwave, a prominent player in Africa’s payments technology sector, has formalized a partnership with the Activate Success International Foundation (ASIF) to bolster youth enterprise development. This collaboration is centered on the 2026 edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme (YEEP), a flagship initiative designed to provide young Nigerians with the resources necessary to transition business ideas into viable commercial entities. By combining ASIF’s established mentorship network with Flutterwave’s technical infrastructure, the partnership aims to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial ambition and the digital tools required for modern market participation.
Scaling Impact Through the YEEP Framework
For over a decade, ASIF has operated as a credible platform for enterprise development in Nigeria. The foundation’s track record includes a successful 2025 cycle that saw the deployment of over ₦50 million in grants and equipment to selected entrepreneurs. Last year’s program attracted more than 2,000 active participants and reached an additional 30,000 individuals through various youth engagement initiatives, including National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp activations. The 2026 partnership is expected to expand this reach, leveraging Flutterwave’s brand and resources to heighten the scale of support available to the nation's burgeoning startup ecosystem.
Integrating Flutterwave’s Global Payment Ecosystem
As the lead sponsor for YEEP 2026, Flutterwave will integrate its comprehensive suite of financial tools into the program's curriculum. This includes the "Send App," Flutterwave's flagship cross-border remittance platform, alongside various merchant solutions. By providing entrepreneurs with direct access to digital financial infrastructure, the initiative equips them to manage transactions and receive global payments seamlessly. Olugbenga Agboola, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, noted that while the ambition among Nigeria’s youth is evident, the primary barrier remains access to the specific tools that allow businesses to grow beyond their immediate geographical environments.
