Wike stated that the current administration is making a deliberate effort to move beyond the traditional focus on Abuja’s city center to address the needs of satellite towns. The minister highlighted significant progress on several critical transit routes, including the Karu, Apo–Karshi, and Bwari–Kubwa corridors, as evidence of a renewed focus on regional connectivity. Wike noted that these infrastructure improvements are already having a tangible impact on the daily lives of residents by drastically reducing travel times. For instance, he cited that improved road networks now allow individuals living in Kuje to reach the city center in approximately 25 minutes, a feat previously hindered by poor road conditions and congestion.
