The Ayrburn Screen Hub: Key Details
The project, developed by Waterfall Park Developments Limited (a subsidiary of Winton Land Limited), represents a significant expansion of New Zealand’s high-value screen infrastructure.
Facilities: The hub will include purpose-built film and television studios, professional offices, and 201 accommodation units on the Ayrburn Farm property.
The Approval: Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop confirmed that an expert panel spent five months assessing the project under the Government’s fast-track legislation.
The Benefit: Minister Bishop noted that the facility will allow Queenstown to compete for high-value international productions while supporting local filmmakers.
