The "Farewell Tour"
The store is officially scheduled to close its doors on June 30, 2026. Ms. Lovejoy, who opened the business in 1983, shared that the decision was simply a matter of timing for her retirement.
Continuing Services: While the physical store is closing, manager Zoe Sawyer will continue to provide interior design services privately.
The Legacy: Known for its bold colors, signature gift-wrapping with hot pink bows, and in-house cafe, OOP served as a "way of life" for generations of Adelaide residents seeking to add personality to their homes.
A "Blue Chip" Property Hits the Market
The closure also means the highly coveted real estate at Norwood is up for grabs. Described as a "tightly held blue chip property," the building—instantly recognizable by its hot pink exterior—is scheduled for auction on May 15, 2026.
