Harrowing Emergency Call Documents Final Moments Of Domestic Attack

Audio from a 911 call shared by News 12 New Jersey has revealed the desperate pleas for help from one of the victims of this week’s violent domestic incident in Berkeley. Allan Russell, 61, managed to contact emergency services after being shot by his son in law, 37 year old Vaughn Stewart. In the recording, Russell can be heard repeating, "I am shot, I am shot," as he requested an ambulance for the secure residence. Despite his efforts to reach authorities, the attack resulted in a total of four fatalities.

Multiple Fatalities Confirmed Following Targeted Shooting At Berkeley Residence

The shooter, Vaughn Stewart, targeted his estranged wife and her parents in the residence. The deceased have been identified as Allan Russell, his wife Michelle Russell, 60, and their daughter Deonna Stewart, 38. Investigations revealed that Deonna and Vaughn Stewart were living separately at the time of the shooting, indicating a history of domestic separation leading up to the violence. After fatally wounding the three victims, Stewart turned the weapon on himself. He was later pronounced dead at Community Medical Center.

In a fortunate turn amidst the tragedy, three children belonging to the Stewarts were inside the home during the gunfire but remained physically unharmed.
