A Legacy in Horror and Sci-Fi

Fleming carved out a significant niche within the horror and supernatural genres. Beyond her recurring role in Supernatural, she appeared as Candy Baker in the CW’s iZombie and held roles in Masters of Horror, The Tooth Fairy, and Bloodsuckers. Her ability to bring depth to guest-starring roles made her a frequent collaborator for Vancouver-based productions, leading to credits in major series such as Smallville, Stargate SG-1, The L Word, and Supergirl.

Tributes from the Industry

Jim Beaver, who portrayed Fleming’s on-screen husband in Supernatural, shared a moving tribute on Facebook, describing her as a "powerhouse of vitality and goodwill." Beaver recalled their instant bond on set, noting they shared a "rapturous laugh" and the coincidence of having daughters with the same name. "She was a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind," her representative added in the official statement.

From Nova Scotia to the Screen

Born in Digby, Nova Scotia, on August 16, 1974, Fleming moved to British Columbia to pursue her passion for the performing arts. She trained at Victoria's Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company before making her film debut in projects like the Adam Sandler comedy Happy Gilmore. In addition to her extensive TV work, she was an accomplished stage actress with credits in classics such as Romeo and Juliet and Steel Magnolias.
