In response to the precarious nature of delivery, ride hailing, and livestreaming roles, the ministry pledged to expand an occupational injury protection pilot program nationwide this year. This initiative, which currently covers 25 million participants, aims to close regulatory loopholes that previously allowed employers to sidestep mandatory social insurance contributions.
