Strategic Facility Expansion Within the Phoenix Medical Quarter

Barrow Neurological Institute has significantly increased its research capacity by expanding the Barrow Neuro Analytics Center at Park Central. This development adds 8,317 square feet to the existing 10,099 square foot facility, bringing the total dedicated research space to more than 18,000 square feet. This move is designed to house growing neurological programs under one roof, facilitating a more integrated approach to data-focused medical investigations within the burgeoning Phoenix Medical Quarter.

Accelerating Insights Into Environmental and Socioeconomic Factors

The expansion is viewed as a vital step in broadening the scope of inquiry into how environmental conditions and healthcare access influence the onset of neurological disorders. According to Brad Racette, MD, Chairman of Neurology and Senior Vice President at Barrow Neurological Institute, the additional space will accelerate the ability of researchers to uncover critical insights. The primary objective is to use this data to guide public health efforts aimed at reducing disease burden and addressing systemic disparities in neurological care.

Global Leadership in Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence

Since its inception in 2024, the Barrow Neuro Analytics Center has gained international recognition for its work in global neuroscience and AI applications. The center’s researchers specialize in using advanced data analytics to study complex conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, ALS, stroke, and various brain cancers. By centralizing these high-tech research programs, the institute aims to maintain its position as a global leader in the application of artificial intelligence to solve intractable medical challenges.
