A Low-Impact Architectural Marvel
The project, which represents an investment of over $4 million, eschews traditional concrete foundations in favor of low-impact luxury tent architecture. The hotel features 16 Balinese-style tented villas manufactured in Indonesia and shipped to Costa Rica.
Key design elements include:
360-Degree Connectivity: The villas are designed to open entirely, blurring the lines between the bedroom and the surrounding coastal forest.
Salt-Resistant Materials: Specific materials were selected to withstand the harsh tropical salt air of the Pacific.
Eco-Conscious Infrastructure: The use of tented structures avoids the need for heavy, permanent foundations, significantly reducing the hotel's footprint on the local soil and ecosystem.
