Escalation to Physical Threats
In a recent interview published on March 24, 2026, Brian Littrell, 51, detailed a chilling series of threats allegedly directed at his family via social media. According to the singer, individuals have discussed burning down his Florida home and bringing firearms to the property. "They want to spray us with mace. They want to punch my teeth out... it’s crazy," Littrell told Fox News. His wife, Leighanne, expressed the emotional toll of the conflict, noting that the family now feels unwelcome and unsafe in their small Walton County community.
The Core of the Conflict: Private vs. Public Beach
The dispute centers on a property in Santa Rosa Beach that the Littrells purchased in 2023 for $3.8 million. The family argues that the beach area directly behind their home is their "private backyard," while local residents and beachgoers maintain their right to access the sand.
The "Transitory Zone": Under local guidelines, public access is generally allowed up to 20 feet landward from the wet/dry sand line for activities like walking and swimming.
Sunbathing Rules: Public sunbathing is permitted in these areas between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
