The process culminates in ward-level primary elections on May 23, with the party allocating a specific window on May 28 to resolve any legal or procedural appeals arising from the internal votes.

High Entry Barriers with Million-Naira Form Fees

APGA has set significant financial benchmarks for its 2027 aspirants, reflecting the high stakes of the upcoming cycle. For the presidency, the combined cost of the expression of interest and nomination forms has been pegged at 75 million naira. Other high level positions carry substantial fees as well, with governorship aspirants required to pay a total of 35 million naira and senatorial candidates facing a 21 million naira price tag. Aspirants must successfully pass the initial screening phase before they are permitted to purchase official nomination forms.
